Tim Farrell Wins 2008 Talent Expo

What a great weekend! Tim and his manager, Pat Feahr, spent June 26-28th in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, where Tim won the 2008 Talent Expo, held at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. His winning performance was the song “A Mess of Blues”.

Tim competed against 19 others, mostly singer/songwriters. There was a lot of talent and experience there, but Tim’s performance brought the crowd to life. The judges, respected songwriters active in the music industry, visibly enjoyed his effort.

He followed up his win with a couple of encores (at the urging of the audience), and performed “I Really Don’t Want to Know”. He had an opportunity to speak with songwriters that are interested in showing him original music, and to promoters, music publishers and musicians.

It was a great opportunity for him to showcase his talent, and is a major plus in his efforts to stimulate his music career. Perhaps more importantly, it gave him a chance to talk to many people about efforts to get credible DNA; his primary goal remains to get definitive proof of his mom’s story that his father is Elvis Presley.
